Glendola Leisure is a privately owned bar, club and restaurant company and has grown by taking advantage of selected opportunities to become a leading Licensed Multiple Operator. Glendola takes pride in their unique entrepreneurial approach, leading the way in innovation and creativity.
The portfolio includes a number of venues in London including Waxy O’Connor’s, the award winning Irish pub in the heart of London’s West End, the renowned World’s End Pub in Camden, Silk & Grain and various other venues throughout the city.
Glendola also run Waxy O’Connor’s and Alston Bar & Beef in both Glasgow and Manchester as well as operating a number of venues in Edinburgh and on the south coast.

Glendola Leisure will maintain their lead position in the multiple pub, club and restaurant marketplace through investment in human resources at all levels, especially in the development of entrepreneurial management, and by continuing to invest in existing and new properties - each with an identity carefully tailored to its specific marketplace to ensure long-term viability.
Glendola Leisure was founded in 1973 by Peter Salussolia who is the Chairman of the Company. Peter Salussolia is also the Group Managing Director and Chairman of The Foundation Group of Companies Limited.
The estate has since expanded and now employs over 500 staff in venues throughout the UK. Glendola and its sister company HMI, turns over £65 million and are continually looking to expand the business further.
Alex Salussolia, is the Managing Director of Glendola and joined the company in 1992 initially as an Area Manager, progressing to Managing Director eight years later. Alex came up with the idea of Waxy O’Connor’s, one of the UK’s first super pubs.
Glendola Leisure has also won the Publican Pub Company of the Year award in 1996 and again in 2004 and has held the Investors In People national training standard since 1994.
